I’ve been told that an About page is key to my blog’s success.  I suppose, then, that I had better make a good first impression.

So, a little ‘about’ me I suppose.  I’m Dyl.  I’m 27 and I have a BA in Political Science and Economics from UBC.  I currently live in Calgary where I work serve on the board of directors of a family company.  Living in Calgary brings interesting perspective to the oil sands debate, a topic which I attempt daily to better inform myself on.

I write this blog because I think a lot of things, about myriad topics.  Generally I stick to what I know (or opine to know) which are political, financial and economic issues but I often delve into commentary on sports I’ve never played or music which I can’t play.  Due to an overwhelming sense of narcissism I find it necessary not only to share but to promote my opinions to whomever poor souls happen to be reading (hopefully no one).
